Re: Pooling Knowledge/BGS Resources - Nerds Unite!

(I now have access to the IG boards, but I'm not sure everyone does, so I'm going to keep organizing on here for now) I had used my Vision to look into getting an idea of who the "one who gives good return" is. (Looking for a hint rather than a straightforward answer.) Cool. If I end up using Cognit...

When Get Points

I'm thinking about BGS, which means I'm thinking about what BGS I will actually have, which means I'm thinking about what points I will have to spend. To avoid prehatch chicken counting, am I right that you get... Event points, meal help points, and cleanup points before the BGS deadline of the even...

Re: Sha'ahm'ni- Sard Hand Language

TradSards vs hip young emotive Sards is pretty canonical, I think. I meant to second the idea of "interested in something." It's something I can't quite think of how to improvise from the existing ones. Obviously it's too complicated, but this wheel of emotions gives an idea of what sorts of things ...

Re: Pooling Knowledge/BGS Resources - Nerds Unite!

Thanks, Maggie! If lots of people engage with this I might try to make a Google Sheet or something... I would encourage you to move this to the Outpost IG board so there's no ambiguity about what we do and don't know. That said, the idea of coordinating efforts and sharing results is pretty exciting...

Re: Sha'ahm'ni- Sard Hand Language

I used low to mid happy hand as a smiling equivalent and did it a lot, but polite smiling isn't an emotional display so allowing it might make sense. On the third hand I kind of like the effect of "resting Sard face" on people interacting with it.

Re: Basic BGS Tutorial

I realized the questions I have mostly are about multiple PCs tackling the same topic, so I can think about how best to coordinate between events. Such as, whether that gets them all the same info, or if they get several different bits that are greater in aggregate, or something else. Also, if it ma...

Re: BGS and how to use them

Edit: got cross posted with the primer, will copy unanswered parts there. From asking more experienced folks, I'm told getting the most out of BGS is picking good topics (and appropriate to the BGS) and writing up your questions well (context, goals, what you already know, details ala PEL). I think ...

Re: BGS and how to use them

If we have questions that it may or may not answer, would you rather we share those before or after you finish?

Re: Tov Event Community Timeline Document

A wiki is the exact right format for keeping track of a lot of interconnected stuff, albeit a bit trickier to set up (I say this with no intention at this time of volunteering, so take it with a grain of salt!)
